    On February 14, 2017 I brought my 2008 Ford Explorer to Ray for transmission work after having it repaired by another company who did a botched job and it ended up breaking again. Because Ray serviced my vehicle back in early 2016 I decided to allow him to attempt to repair the botched transmission job which he did. It ended up being $2900 in repairs after paying $3000 in repairs previously. On February 16, 2017 I paid Ray via credit card and retrieved my vehicle and drove it home with no immediate issues. On February 21, 2017, as I attempted to turn on my AC as it was another hot day in Houston the AC never blew cold air. I tried it repeatedly and discovered the AC is just not working. I immediately contacted Ray to inform him that now my AC is not blowing cold air which was working fine prior to bringing it to Ray and even after the botched transmission repair job from the previous company my AC was blowing cold air and working perfectly. I live in The Woodlands, TX so commuting to Ray's auto repair center is not an easy task since he's located in Alief/SW Houston area. He text me and told me to bring it in and he would take a look at it so on Friday, February 24, 2017 I was finally able to bring my vehicle back to Ray for them to attempt to diagnose the the situation and to see if the AC issue was caused by something they may or may not have done during the transmission repair process. I arrived on Friday, February 24th a little after 11:00am and after about 10 minutes Ray comes to me and says "Well the issue isn't anything we did from the transmission repair so we need to diagnose it further". How are you able to determine that in the first ten minutes? After waiting 5 hours it was evident Ray would not be done anytime soon and I was scheduled to head home to New Orleans for the weekend so we're already behind on time after waiting for over 5 hours on a diagnosis. So I told Ray I have to leave and get on the road and someone was in route to pick me up and I would leave the vehicle. While waiting, Ray came to me and mentioned to me he couldn't get the AC to read and the computer wouldn't read and all technical talk I'm not familiar with. They had to get the books and do extensive research to look into the issue. While in New Orleans, Ray text me to tell me that he diagnosed the issue to be the computer module needing to be replaced. I told me it would cost $639.00 for labor and $842.00 for labor. How does this guy determine his labor fees is beyond me. I replied and told him that's okay leave it as is I'll be there to pick it up once I return home to Houston on Tuesday, February 28, 2017. Ray replied "Do I want him to put it back together'? I replied "YES". Ray replied, "I'll have it ready by 1pm" and I replied "Don't do any work to it just for clarification". Ray Replies "Yes Sir" and that was the end of the text chat between Ray and I. On Tuesday, February 28, 2017 I received a text from Ray stating "664.79 balance owed, cash only"!!! Imagine the look on my face when I got this text message especially knowing I never authorized a $664.79 charge to be accumulated and I paid you using my credit card several times before and now you're a "Cash Only" business? Luckiy I have all of the text messages to prove everything because people wouldn't believe that this guy is a shady and corrupt as all the others. I believe that most of vehicle's issues are due to the software update performed on vehicle recommended by Ray to improve fuel economy and overall performance. There are no improvements. My fuel economy has decreased, I have daytime running lamps that I never asked for so now I have to worry about my battery being drained more, my fog lamps do not come on at all anymore, and the headlamps do not come on at night anymore when unlocking and entering the vehicle as they did prior to this "Software Update". Either they did not install the update accurately or I never got the actual update. My transmission is once again hesitant and slow and I honestly am afraid of driving my vehicle out of fear it will breakdown again.
